Post-doctoral study

The Department of World Economy works with candidates for doctor’s degree. 

In 2002 Igor B. Sergeev defended his doctoral thesis “The Conceptual Model of Sustainable Development of the Oil-producing Territory (by the Example of Barents Sea Region)". 

In 2004 another two candidates got the doctoral degrees: Sergey M. Kadochnikov with his thesis “Welfare Effects of Foreign Direct Investments: Microeconomic Analysis” and Alexander B. Kuritskiy with his thesis “Government Regulation of Informational Economy in Terms of Globalization”. 

In 2008 two candidates defended his doctoral thesis:  Lukyanov Sergey with the thesis: "The barriers to entry and how to overcome them in a globalizing world economy." and Shliamin Valery"Shaping the foreign policies of Russia towards the Nordic countries (for example, the Russian-Finnish economic relations)."

In 2009 Elena G. Efimova defended her doctoral thesis: "Transport infrastructure in the Baltic Sea in international economic relations"
