On April 17-19, 2025, within the framework of the IX International Economic Symposium dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Faculty of Economics of St. Petersburg State University, the XXII International Conference "Evolution of the International Trading System: Problems and Prospects - 2025" will traditionally be held. Researchers, teachers, postgraduate students and students of higher educational institutions, representatives of the real and financial sectors of the economy, government agencies are invited to participate.
The International Economic Symposium annually brings together leading scientists and practitioners in the field of economics, management and finance from Russia and foreign countries. The main goal of the Symposium is to test scientific ideas and relevant proposals of conference participants, as well as to strengthen and expand scientific and practical ties with other universities and representatives of the business community.
The following issues are planned to be discussed within the framework of the conference, organized by the Department of World Economy of St. Petersburg State University:

- International Settlements: New Solutions and Approaches.
- Islamic Finance: First Results of the Experiment in Russia and the Experience of the CIS Countries.
- Prospects for International Labor Migration in the BRICS+ Format.
- International Business: Key Challenges and Development Priorities.
- Global Energy Transition - Dynamics and New Trends.
- Business Forum "Eastern Vector of Russian Business Development in Current Geopolitical Conditions".
- Postgraduate Seminar of the Department of World Economy. Master Class for Postgraduate Students "Methodology for Conducting Scientific Research".
Registration of participants is open until February 28, 2025 (extended until March 25, 2025). To participate in the Conference, please fill out the registration form and upload your article on the Symposium page no later than February 28, 2025. An article for publication in the Symposium Proceedings must be formatted in accordance with the requirements. The decision to include a paper in the Symposium program and to publish it is made based on the results of an independent review. The materials of the Symposium conferences will be published and indexed article by article in the scientometric database of the Russian Science Citation Index.
The condition for participation in the Symposium is payment of the registration fee.
The working languages of the Symposium are Russian and English.
